Pictured above is the historical marker placed at the
site of the first Reformed Presbyterian Church in North America, located
in Paxtang, PA. The marker was dedicated on May 25th, 1974 as part of
a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Reformed Presbyterian Church
in North America.
When a fire destroyed the RP church in Duanesburg, NY in 1951, most of the records of the denomination were lost. Thus the records housed here at the PCA Historical Center form in large part the remaining documents of this denomination.
