This work was an expanded form of his master's thesis at Princeton Seminary.
Subsequent editions in 1936, 1941, 1948, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1957, 1960, 1963, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1974 and 1975.
Extracts from this book, as compiled by M. F. Engle, were published in 1970 in Grays, Kentucky, 77pp., 21 cm.
